Lindsey Clark, Friendly Driver Instructor
Born and raised in Fort Smith, I’ve lived in Arkansas my whole life. After graduating high school, I moved to Conway to attend Hendrix College where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in History and Gender Studies. After college, I moved to Little Rock and a short time later enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Sciences program at UAMS where I obtained a second bachelor’s degree. After working in the clinical microbiology lab for five years, I made the transition into academics and am now responsible for setting up and helping teach the laboratory portion of the Medical Laboratory Sciences curriculum at UAMS. I also began working towards a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Environmental and Occupational Health, which I will complete in the spring of 2019.
My hobbies include hiking, kayaking, cycling, and mountain biking. My interest in public health paired with my love for cycling is what attracted me to the Friendly Driver Program. I believe the streets of Little Rock can be made safer for cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers alike through this program and I’m proud to serve as a teacher for the program.
