Green Programs
The Little Rock Sustainability Office has several Green Programs to increase community awareness, engagement, and recognition. These programs provide opportunities for Little Rock residents, schools, organizations, and businesses to create solutions for sustainability in their work and play. The annual award ceremony, Sustain the Rock Awards, is a way we can highlight those in our community who are taking sustainability to heart and being true stewards and leaders of Little Rock.
Adopt-A-Street
This program provides an opportunity for civic engagement in removing litter from “adopted” streets.
Plastic Free July
A global movement that raises awareness about plastic pollution.
Pick It Up!
A City campaign to encourage people to take an active role in picking up litter, preventing pollution, and building pride in our shared community.
Sustain the Rock Awards
This annual award recognizes individuals, businesses, and non-profits in Little Rock who have made meaningful contributions to sustainability.
Green Restaurant
This program is a guide of sustainability initiatives for food service operations and rewards best practices with official certification.
LR Recycles Day
Quarterly, drive-thru recycling event. Free and open to the public.
