William E. Clark Presidential Park Wetlands

The Bill Clark Wetlands is a unique urban natural area that provides valuable wildlife habitat while offering residents and visitors opportunities to experience nature in the heart of downtown Little Rock. History

Originally developed as part of the environmental restoration efforts associated with the Clinton Presidential Center campus, the wetlands transformed a former industrial riverfront site into a thriving natural habitat. The area was later named in honor of Bill Clark, a longtime conservation advocate and community leader whose dedication to protecting Arkansas’s natural resources left a lasting impact on the state.

Today, the Bill Clark Wetlands serves as both a recreational destination and an outdoor classroom, demonstrating how conservation and urban development can work together to create healthier communities and a more resilient environment.
