4309 West 26th Street Homicide

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 8:49 p.m., officers with the 12th Street Division responded to a reported shooting at 4309 West 26th Street. Upon arrival, they located an unresponsive male in the street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Tavaris Rhodes. Little Rock Fire Department personnel attempted life-saving measures, but Rhodes died at the scene. Officers secured the area and notified Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Search Unit, who responded to process the scene and initiate an investigation.

The Pulaski County Coroner transported the body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy, and next of kin were notified. The investigation remains ongoing.
