Projects Proposed for Each Ward in New 3-Year Cycle

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 16, 2015) – A series of public meetings are scheduled in each of the City’s seven Wards to discuss street and drainage improvement projects planned for 2016-18.

Nearly $21.6 million from the 3/8 Cent Capital Tax proceeds has been set aside for the upcoming 3-year cycle of improvements.

Little Rock citizens saw their tax dollars at work during first three-year cycle from 2012-15, which resulted in wide-ranging improvements of streets and drainage as well as the creation of sidewalks.

Public input, as a vital component of the improvement program, is not just sought but encouraged in this process. Planning for the new cycle began earlier this year with a series of meetings in March in which residents were asked to provide input on what improvement projects should be considered in each Ward.
