Fletcher Park

Fletcher Park is a cozy neighborhood green space in central Little Rock. The park offers a variety of recreational opportunities for families and community members, from sports and play to shaded picnic areas.

History

The park occupies 1.6 acres of land purchased by the City of Little Rock in 1963. Development began in 1970, and the park was named in memory of Alan B. Fletcher, a promising young athlete who had earned recognition in Peewee League and other city-sponsored sports. Friends and family of Fletcher initiated fundraising efforts to help bring the park to life, leaving a lasting tribute in his honor.
