Morehart Park is a community park in the Mabelvale area of southwest Little Rock, offering a wooded setting and open space for recreation. With its dense tree cover and level terrain, the park provides residents with opportunities for leisure, play, and neighborhood gatherings.
History
The property that would become Morehart Park was acquired in 1973 from the heirs of the Morehart estate. Development followed in 1980, supported by funds from a municipal bond issue along with additional assistance from the Heritage, Conservation, and Recreation Service. Since then, Morehart Park has served the Mabelvale community as a dedicated public green space.
