History

Originally developed by the Little Rock Boys’ Club, the property was sold to the City of Little Rock in July 1977 and became Curran Conway Park. Located along Blakemore Creek, the park has served generations of Little Rock families as a destination for youth sports, recreation, and community gatherings.

One of the park’s defining features is Gary Hogan Field, formerly known as Curran Conway Field. Since 1978, the facility has served as the home of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) Trojans baseball program. While the City of Little Rock owns the park, UA Little Rock operates and maintains Gary Hogan Field through a partnership with the City. Over the years, the university has invested in significant improvements to the stadium, transforming it into a Division I baseball facility while preserving its unique setting within a public park. The field is named in honor of former Trojans baseball coach Gary Hogan, whose leadership helped shape the program and the ballpark.
