LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock residents are encouraged to help make the City more sustainable and environmentally friendly by participating in Little Rock Recycles Day on Saturday, June 7. The quarterly event at the east parking lot of the Little Rock Zoo is from 9 a.m. to noon.
On Little Rock Recycles Day, residents may safely dispose of electronic waste, plastic bags, glass, documents for shredding and more.
Accepted items are:
- Single-stream recycling (items such as plastic bottles and jugs, cardboard, paper, and aluminum or steel cans)
- Plastic bags (and other soft plastic packaging like shrink wrap)
- Glass
- e-Waste (anything with a power cord except refrigerators and window air conditioners)
- Bicycles
- Documents for shredding
- Household items and textiles in good condition.
Little Rock Recycles Day is sponsored by the City of Little Rock's Sustainability Office, Keep Little Rock Beautiful and the Little Rock Zoo.
The Zoo's east parking lot is located at the intersection of Zoo Drive and South Monroe Street.
