Citizens Academy

The program is for Little Rock residents who are interested in learning more about how the Housing Code Enforcement division is organized and how we operate.  Participants attend a five week training to learn about our operations.

The Citizens Academy is free for participants, and is an opportunity to learn about the functions and services of the Code Enforcement division. It's a wonderful way to become familiar with the services provided by our department and to meet the staff responsible for providing them.

If you are a new or long-time resident of Little Rock, the Citizen Academy will give you a perspective on the current issues facing the city. For those who are interested in getting more engaged with the community, the Citizen Academy will provide you with knowledge of our core functions.

The sessions are fun and interactive, and will be led by Little Rock city staff.

Classes will be held on Thursday nights,

  • March 28th
  • April 4th
  • April 11th
  • April 18th
  • April 25th

from 5:30 pm -6:30 pm at the Willie Hinton Community Center (3805 W. 12th St.).

Space is limited and we are accepting the first 15 applicants.
