BRITTANY NICHOLS

In the heart of Little Rock Parks and Recreation, Ms. Nichols serves as the newly appointed Media & Marketing Coordinator, employing accessible graphics and new strategies to propel the city closer to its vision of becoming 'A City in a Park.' Hailing from Newton County, Arkansas, Brittany's upbringing instilled a profound respect for conservation, land stewardship, and a commitment to showcasing the richness and biodiversity of green spaces. Applied to the urban environment, this dedication is used to foster vibrant community connections and encourage active engagement in City parks!

This unique blend of artistic passion and a deep understanding of consumer psychology empowers her to pioneer innovative approaches in marketing Little Rock's parks and facilities, bridging the gap between diverse offerings and community involvement.

Notable professional experience includes roles as Lead Graphic Designer at Gecko Grafix, Creative Consultant for Diamond Bear Brewing Company, and Visual Communications Expert at FASTSIGNS® North Little Rock where she created the Parks & Recreation Visual Standards for signage in 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Arkansas Tech University, complemented by an Associate of Arts (A.A.) from Pikes Peak Community College.

In the community, Brittany offers her skills in marketing, design, and project management to local organizations Downtown Little Rock Neighborhood Association, Keep Little Rock Beautiful, and the Arkansas Cornbread Festival. She has served on the Transportation & Environment Committee of ThinkBig Little Rock, founding Co-Chair of Central Arkansas DSA, and Sustainability Commission for the City, where she further honed her skills in public speaking, policy writing, and environmental advocacy.
