Butler Park

History

Butler Park occupies 6.7 acres of level, tree-covered land adjacent to Grassy Flat Creek in the western part of the city. The land for Butler Park was donated to the City of Little Rock by Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Butler. Improvements began in 1968 with the construction of a ballfield and picnic areas. Originally situated in a predominately rural area, rapid urban development along Rodney Parham Road has engulfed the park in recent years.
