LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (January 13, 2017) – Residents of Little Rock are invited to take part in a community conversation with City leaders and departments to be held Monday, Jan. 23, at West Central Community Center.

The event is being called “Common Unity: A Community Conversation” and is an opportunity for community members to voice their concerns and have an open discussion about the issues facing their neighborhoods, with the ultimate goal of coming up with ideas that can help improve the quality of life for all .

Public safety is expected to be a main topic of conversation. Several of the City’s departments have been working together to address issues of public safety, including the Police, Housing and Neighborhood Programs, Community Programs and the City Manager’s office. Those departments will bring representatives to the event.

West Central Community Center, which opened in November 2016, is located at 4521 John Barrow Road. The community conversation will be from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
